SAUK RAPIDS - A teenager is in serious condition at St. Cloud Hospital after a two vehicle crash this (Tuesday) morning in Benton County.

The State Patrol says the incident happened just after 8:00 a.m. on Highway 10, at Scenic Drive, just north of Sauk Rapids.

Eighteen-year-old Jacob Hansen of Williams, Minnesota was driving a pickup that collided with a semi. A passenger in the pickup, 17-year-old Connor Williams of Sauk Rapids, has non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi, 76-year-old Milton Smail of Bemidji, was not hurt.

The semi was heading south on Highway 10, the pickup was traveling east on Scenic Drive. Hansen wasn't able to stop the pickup, due to snow/ice packed road conditions. He slid through the intersection and ran into the rear drive axel of the semi.
