MAPLE LAKE - Icy roads are being blamed for a broadside type crash in Wright County.

The State Patrol says the incident happened at about 4:30 p.m. this (Monday) afternoon on Highway 55.

A car was traveling east when it hit an icy patch, overcorrected and struck an oncoming car in the westbound lane.

Thirty-seven-year-old Ryan Olson of South Haven was driving the first car. And, 58-year-old Laurel Gleason of Maple Lake was driving the second car. Both were taken to Buffalo hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
