MELROSE - Two people were hurt in a crash in Melrose after a driver failed to yield at a stop sign.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened Saturday around 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 15 and County Road 17 in Melrose.

Authorities say a pick-up driven by 58-year-old Thomas Klaphake of St. Cloud pulled into the intersection and crashed into a van driven by 58-year-old Charles Ripka of Elk RIver.

Two of Ripka's passengers, 15-year-old Connor Rushton of South St. Paul and 41-year-old Harold Rushton of South St. Paul were taken to Melrose Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

Thomas Klaphake was cited for failure to yield.
