2 Men Plead Guilty In Minneapolis Fatal Crashes

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Two men have pleaded guilty in separate drunken driving crashes in Minneapolis that each resulted in a death.

Fifty-year-old John Iverson of Minneapolis pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular homicide for driving his van on Feb. 3 after drinking heavily at a bar and killing a bicyclist. Iverson was accused of running down Marcus Nalls, a 26-year-old bicycle commuter. Sentencing is set for Nov. 20.

In another case, 35-year-old Yia Her of St. Paul pleaded guilty to fleeing police and killing one person and injuring another.

A Minnesota trooper had pulled Her over in downtown Minneapolis in September 2013 when Her took off. Her collided with another car, killing the 20-year-old driver, Brody Sotona of Spring Valley, Wisconsin, and seriously injuring his passenger, Connor Macklin of Stillwater.

Her's sentencing is Wednesday.
