2 Hurt in Morning Crash Near Pierz

PIERZ -- Slick roads led to a crash that left two people hurt Wednesday morning near Pierz.

The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened just before 8:00 a.m. on 133rd Street in Pierz Township.

Seventeen-year-old Peter Stangl of Pierz was leaving his driveway when he slid across the center line and into the eastbound lane. Stangl then collided with a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Andrew Smude of Pierz.

Both vehicles were severely damaged and both drivers were taken to the hospital by private vehicles with unknown injuries.
