ELK RIVER -- Two people are hurt in a crash involving a dump-truck. The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident happened in Elk River, on Highway 169 at 213th Avenue.

According to authorities, around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, a dump truck driven by 39-year-old Robbie Isaacson turned south onto Highway 169 when he was rear-ended by a car driven by 18-year-old Aleah West of Princeton.

The State Patrol says Isaacson was accelerating to highway speeds, when he noticed West approaching at a high speed and not slowing down. Isaacson attempted to move out of the way, but was hit before he could.

West and her passenger, 19-year-old Laticia Guerrero were taken to Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton with non-life threatening injuries.

Isaacson was not hurt.
