CHERRY TOWNSHIP (AP) - Lightning strikes have injured three people in two separate incidents in Minnesota.

Duluth police say a 12-year-old boy was critically injured when he was hit by lightning at the Enger Golf Course Sunday shortly before 4 p.m. as a thunderstorm swept over the city.

Also in St. Louis County just a couple hours earlier, 51-year-old Jay Mott, of Virginia, and his 4-year-old daughter, Ava, were struck by lightning while attending a baseball game at the Cherry Township recreational facility.

The sheriff's office says bystanders who administered CPR revived the man at the scene. He was taken to a hospital in Hibbing before being transferred to a Duluth hospital, where he was in critical condition. His daughter was taken directly to the Duluth hospital. Authorities say her injuries are believed to be less severe.
