LONG LAKE (AP) - Two Twin Cities-area fishermen say they were rescued from Long lake after falling through the ice.

Bruce Halverson and Paul Monahan say they were in the water for about two to three minutes Sunday afternoon about 150 yards from the shore. They say other fishermen were nearby and came to their rescue with a shovel.

Sgt. Ken Vnuk with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Water Patrol says the ice is very unsafe following warmer weather over the weekend. He says authorities have been warning people to stay off the lakes.
