MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The drivers of two vehicles ignored warning signs and broke through the ice on Lake Minnetonka.

In both cases, the drivers and passengers are OK. Sheriff's officials say two teenage boys escaped Wednesday evening when their vehicle's front axle became submerged on Grays Bay.

About an hour and a-half later, two men escaped their sinking vehicle after it broke through the ice in Phelps Bay.

The owners must make towing arrangements to have their vehicles removed from the lake. The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says that typically costs several thousand dollars.
