2 Arrested Following Police Chase Near Oronoco

ORONOCO (AP) - Two people have been arrested following a brief chase with law enforcement through county roads and a field in southeastern Minnesota.

Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgerson says a 15-minute chase ensued Wednesday evening after State Patrol troopers spotted a stolen pickup truck near Oronoco. He says the stolen vehicle was pursued as it weaved along county roads and around a field.

Torgerson says shots were fired at some point during the chase, but he didn't say who fired the shots. No one was injured.

Police arrested a male and female who have not been identified.

An investigation is ongoing.
