2 Arrested, 1 Injured in Minnesota Illegal Fireworks Case
WYOMING (AP) — Two men are in custody while another was burned in a minor explosion from what police call an illegal fireworks operation in the city of Wyoming.
A police statement says officers responded to just before noon Saturday for a man who suffered first-degree burns on his hands, arms and face. Police say the officers determined the injuries were caused by a minor explosion in the garage. Police say they spotted "materials consistent with manufacturing fireworks-type explosive devices."
Officers got a search warrant, and say they found a small operation for making 2- to 3-inch mortar-style aerial fireworks.
The injured 30-year-old was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Two other men in their 30s were arrested.
The investigation continues.
Wyoming is about 25 miles north of St. Paul.
