ST. CLOUD -- The city of St. Cloud has lifted its snow emergency following Wednesday's snowstorm. But, a number of people who's vehicles were parked illegally didn't get the message before they were towed away.

St. Cloud Assistant Director of Operations and Maintenance Gerald Kaeter says a total of 156 vehicles had to be towed during the two-day snow emergency.

Kaeter says 59 illegally parked vehicles were towed away December 5th. Another 97 vehicles were towed on December 6th.

Kaeter says they try every avenue to get the word out to residents to avoid towing the cars, but says they have a responsibility to get the streets cleared as soon as possible.
