SAUK RAPIDS - For the Sauk Rapids-Rice school district, the fourth time was the charm.  Voters this week passed an operating levy for $1.7 million a year for the next six years.  Levy questions had failed three previous times in recent years.

Superintendent Dan Bittman says it means families in the district won't have to pay for their busing anymore.

Bittman says the levy will also allow them to keep their current classes and programs in place.

ROCORI also approved an extension of their levy. Statewide 29 of 40 districts with operating levies won approval on Tuesday.
