MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Xcel Energy expects to restore power to most of the thousands of customers who lost service in Sunday's deadly storm by Monday night.

Xcel says 22,000 customers in the Twin Cities lost power at the height of the storm, with north Minneapolis, Golden Valley,  Brooklyn Center and Fridley hardest hit.

Xcel spokeswoman Mary Sandok said Monday about 10,000 customers were still without power Monday morning.

One person was killed, 30 others hurt and at least 100 homes were damaged when a tornado ripped through northern Minneapolis, tearing roofs off houses, toppling huge trees and power lines and knocking over rail cars.
