1 Man Killed, Passenger Injuried in Brainerd ATV Crash

DEERWOOD TOWNSHIP  (AP) - A Brainerd man was killed and a passenger on his all-terrain vehicle was injured when the ATV rolled over in Crow Wing County.

Authorities received a 911 call from a remote area of Deerwood Township Monday afternoon from others riding in the ATV group. They couldn't tell authorities exactly where they were so a helicopter was sent up to locate the accident scene and direct rescuers on the ground.

When first responders reached the victims, a 47-year-old man had died and a 21-year-old male passenger was badly injured. The condition of the injured man isn't known.
