BARNESVILLE (AP) - One person has been killed and two others have been injured in a two-vehicle crash involving a semitrailer on Interstate 94 in western Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a vehicle carrying the three victims rear-ended a semitrailer shortly after 7:30 a.m. Sunday near Barnesville in Clay County.

A front passenger in the vehicle was killed and two others were hurt. The semitrailer driver and his passenger weren't injured.

Barnesville is about 210 miles northeast of the Twin Cities and about 25 miles southeast of Fargo, North Dakota.

An investigation is ongoing.
