FREEPORT -- One man was hurt as several cars were stuck after heavy rain flooded a road near Freeport this weekend.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says they received a call shortly before 11:30 p.m. Saturday from a person whose car was stuck in rising water at the intersection of County Road 157 and County Road 172 in Oak Township.

Officers arrived to find several cars stuck in water on the road, including a bus driven by 54-year-old Richard Rosen of Albany.

Rosen and his 14 passengers were able to get out of the bus and walk through the waist-deep water to dry land.

Rosen was later taken to Albany Hospital with injuries.
