ELK RIVER - One man was hurt in a motorcycle crash in Elk River.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened around 9:00 a.m. Friday morning on Highway 169 north of County Road 33 in Elk River.

Authorities say 54-year-old Frank Ronning from Zimmerman was driving south on Highway 169 when he was hit by a piece of debris. Ronning lost control of the motorcycle and went into the center median ditch.

He was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale with non-life threatening injuries. The state patrol says he was not wearing a helmet.
