UPDATE: Elk River Man Killed in Zimmerman Crash

ZIMMERMAN - An Elk River man was killed in a collision yesterday (Thursday) morning.

Fifty-nine-year-old Brian Doelz died in the crash that happened at about 9:45 a.m. on Highway 169 at County Road 4.

The driver of the second vehicle, 52-year-old Ruthann Heinzen of Zimmerman, was seriously hurt.

The State Patrol says Heinzen was heading east on the county road when she struck Doelz car broadside, which was stopped at a red light.
