Canadian Wildfires Causing Unhealthy Air in Minnesota

The thick haze caused by smoke from more than 100 Canadian wildfires is causing unhealthy air quality conditions across a large part of Minnesota. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency reports that the air quality is rated unhealthy for everyone from a large part of northwestern Minnesota, including Detroit Lakes, extending down to Brainerd and St. Cloud toward the Twin Cities suburbs.

Minnesota Teen Dies in Rollover On I-94 in Wisconsin

A Minnesota teenager has died in a rollover accident on Interstate 94 near Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The name of the 16-year-old boy from Plymouth has not been released, nor have the names of two others hurt in Friday evening's crash, the 16-year-old female driver from Robbinsdale and a 15-year-old male from Plymouth.

Cain Has 3 Hits to Lead Royals Over Twins 3-2 in 10 Innings

Lorenzo Cain had three hits and scored the winning run in the 10th inning as the Kansas City Royals beat the Minnesota Twins 3-2 on Friday night to snap a four-game losing streak. Cain led off the bottom of the 10th with a double, went to third on a wild pitch by Aaron Thompson (1-3) and scored on Jarrod Dyson's fielder's choice grounder to first baseman Joe Mauer.
